SPRING

You might not be able to tell by looking outside that Spring is here, but according to the calendar it's Spring Time!

The last few months have been interesting, on the fence between extremely busy and constantly on the edge of my next Fibromyalgia flare.

I've been working on custom orders as well as some new items for the shop (more about that later.)  I just wanted to stop by and share with you what has been going on.

Last week my mom was in town, so I spent a lot of time just being with her and enjoying ourselves.  One day when I felt not so well, I woke up from my nap and Mom had brought me flowers after her trip to the book store with Ryan.  I just cut the stems and put them in fresh water, so I took some pictures.  I use to really enjoy photography and haven't been doing nearly enough lately.

I wanted to share some here with you, let me know what you think!

Pattern: Crochet Coffee Sleeve

So I'm trying my hand at pattern writing.  Certain resources would say that every designer should charge for their patterns.  This is pretty simplistic and more of a concept than a pattern.

I would love if people could try this out and share their results with me.

Featured Creation: Baby Octopus Stuffy

Look at this cute little guy!  I can make these in any color with a variety of different eyes.  I think he's the perfect size for a small hand or for sitting on your desk.

#20- Re-pot my House Plants

Posted by Picasa

Number 20 on my list is to re-pot and not kill my house plants.  So far I've gotten to the repotting part.  This is what they looked like before getting a good dose of worm castings and rearranged into two pots.

This is kind of a year long project for sure.  I use to keep up with my plants pretty well while I was in college, but since moving to Ohio I have not been as successful.

I know part of this was that our apartments didn't get the best light.  And then I got ill and barely took care of myself.  Now that we live in an apartment with great light I'm going to try and not be such a bad plant mom.

I think, perhaps this is a bit about me being slightly more responsible, as well as taking interest in what my apartment actually looks like.  I have no design skills at all, so we've pretty much been living in a glorified college dorm.  Hopefully with some pretty plants, I'll be able to start making a difference.

Stay tuned for updates on how the plants are doing.

National Crochet Month

According to the Crochet Guild of America it is National Crochet Month. I really haven't been able to celebrate yet as I'm still coming down from a pain flair. Hoping to really pick things back up in the second half of the month. In the meantime, maybe you'd like to check out what is going on over at Ravelry to celebrate.
