Story from the Grist

Grist, which is one of my favorite website published a story this week that originally appeared on the Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors website. It discusses issues on the Gulf Coast two years after Katrina, long forgotten by the media. Take a look.

Hi Chrissy. Just wanted to give you a little more information about the work that is underway to establish an Ohio chapter of Interfaith Power and Light (OhIPL). You are probably already familiar with Interfaith Power and Light. If not, visit:
http://www.theregenerationproject.org

At the first meeting on October 13, the group adopted a mission statement, formed a steering committee, and resolved to meet again next month.

The next two OhIPL meetings are proposed for Saturday, November 3, and Saturday, December 8, both 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and both at Broad Street Presbyterian Church (http://www.bspc.org) in Columbus, Ohio.

By the way, BSPC is having an electric vehicle "ride and drive" event after worship (about noon) this Sunday, October 28. It will be a small event. Vic Staley, who is Ohio's only ZENN dealer, is bringing a ZENN neighborhood electric vehicle down for us to see and test drive. Hope to see you there!
